Additional Q&A

Q: Will you edit or proofread my publications?
A: No. You must supply a final product that has been written, edited, laid out, spell-checked and proofread. It doesn't need to be as professional as iSixSigma Magazine (our print magazine), but it does need to go through the full writing-editing-proofing cycle. Solicit peers, wives, husbands and kids to help read it and comment. If they don't understand it, perhaps others won't either. You can also hire a professional editor on sites like Craig's List.

Q: I published a book through another publisher. Can I sell it here?
A: If the book has been previously published, the publisher of a book retains certain rights over the finished design and layout of a book, and it is therefore necessary for us to reach agreement with the publisher before we can replicate the published work in ebook format. If you are interested in selling your ebook through our marketplace, please ask your publisher to contact us.

Q: Is my copyright protected?
A: Our primary interface is with individual consumers who do not have the right independently to exploit your copyright for their own commercial gain. Your rights are protected in the United States and Internationally.

When you offer your products for sale on iSixSigma Publications, you can control how much of the material can be printed or copied (to clipboard) and to turn the option to lend either on or off via Microsoft Office or Adobe PDF protection.

Q: May I sell my materials through my own website, and will it affect my hardcopy book sales?
A: You may sell your books through your own channels, through other marketplaces and through your website.

We can't say whether your hardcopy books will increase or decrease, but we can guarantee that exposure to your materials will increase by offering them for sale in our marketplace.

Q: When will I be paid and how?
A: We distribute revenue to publishers on a regular basis and according to your agreement. Please contact us for specifics.
